It's such a shame that Canadian bands don't get their due. I can name 25 or more and even great many stars in the U.S. come from Canada and even from my small home town of Cornwall, ON. The drummer for April Wine lives a few blocks from me as an example. Kim Mitchell is an another fine example of someone not afraid of just showing up and playing in dive bars. We have a rich community of talent but the radio stations are rich in the purse getting drawn by the nose and directed.
