Jerobeam Fenderson - Nuclear Noise Live (oscilloscope / lissajous music) video free download

Compilation of some material from my shows.

http://www.jerobeamfenderson.net

Concept: What you see is what you hear. Left/right audio channels trigger horizontal/vertical deflection of the cathode ray. The oscilloscope shows an exact representation of the physical waveforms of the sound.

The better part of this compilation was recorded at a show at Klub Moozak @ Fluc, Vienna (December 2013), which was replayed and captured from the oscilloscope, edited together with some actual live scenes.

Are you using a e350 for these and maybe a Addac502 module? What other modules are you using, and is it all done live? Or do you record the nice patterns and chop them together in a sequencer? It is awesome!!!! Thanks.

I suspect you're at least familiar with Cyclo. Then again their shows less about image and more about music.

Could this be done with a laser and some galvos? Or does this require speeds far beyond what you could do with such a setup?

so how do you do this, just fft-ing of hor/ver sums? that probably would not do it.

You don't know music until you've composed it in frequency domain.
