Live in San Diego in front of 11,000 adoring Jermaine Stewart fans. The second song of the concert was Jermaine's hit single, JODY. This song was written as a tribute to his great friend, Jody Watley. Check out Jermaine's surprise short version of Watley's "Looking For A New Love" in the middle of the song. Priceless footage of the late, great Jermaine Stewart!

Singing and dancing is hard even for the best of the best performers. So, i like the rawness of his vocals.

You couldn't tell he didn't feel well. He sound better with a cold than some of these singers without one. I just wish I could have seen him live, but I was to young. Thanks Michael Licata for allowing me to experience Jermaine in concert. I love it!

M, he wasn't feeling good that night and we were coming off a string of shows in a row. We were all beat and Jermaine definitely needed a night off. He wouldn't hear of it. As you can see, his energy level and passion shine right through. He was a champ. We would have to stay and sign every single autograph on our way back to the bus. Our bus driver always had a fit because Jermaine would say "these people paid good money for concert tickets and CD's. We're staying. FINAL." He loved his fans.

I found out that Jermaine had a cold during this performance, lost his voice- and still went out and sang his face off!! I like it even more now!

I think HE was a great singer. Even the best voices give out during a live performance. It's different when you are singing live and dancing vs. the studio. You can stop and do another take in the studio.

Even thought I LOVE every single second of this- I don't think Jermaine was a very strong singer. sometimes he is honestly questionably screaming! LOL. But I still love this and watch these clips constantly. oh damn, she just went into "looking for a new love" so goooood. There's no doubt it's good. But what did he feel about his voice? just curious. :)

Yes, 11,000 people. Not a free show. Yes, people paid good money for tickets. The Jets headlined and Stacey Q opened. Jermaine went in the middle. Is that a good enough answer for you?
