You know what? I'm so fed up with useless comparison. These kinds of songs are meant to be performed by capable artists who have the instrument and the heart to interpret them for decades to come. Each person brings something to the table. You can hear not just Celie's journey, but Jennifer's as well, and that is powerful. Fantasia brings her emotive power to her interpretation. Both have worth. Celebrate the interpreters.
