In many respects, I think that the Original of Jekyll&Hyde is the strongest one. But what I do kind of miss with something like confrontation or alive, is the fast pace of the music. I Feel that the bits with Hyde could be more intense if you would bring up the tempo and the energy.However, that comes with the fact that the slower, softer bits, such as the beginning of this song, are incredibly intense in their own way. Incredible to listen to!

I've noticed several different versions of this song sung by different actors (include David Hasselhoff... wut...) and honestly THIS is the best version I've heard out of them all. That's not counting the fact that it's clearly 'cleaner' than the other versions because it's recorded rather than acted out on stage (which makes for a lot of strain switching back and forth like that instantaneously) but purely based on vocal control and range, this is the best version I've ever heard. And just.... Hasselhoff? why? wut?

Damn, I wish I could sing a song like this. Do you know if there is a song like this that's for girls? It's so emotionally charged and well, confrontational. The only one I can think of is maybe No Good Deed from Wicked, but I don't know theatre well enough to find more obscure songs that are more like this.
