At the very end of this clip: Anyone catching the name of "the weirdest person ..."? Mark . If he's weird, I'll have to Google him.

Bloody hell... Where's Yoko? The Beatles ripped off Jefferson Airplane. Both rooftop shows stopped by the kops/bobbies. Quite amusing. This one took place on Dec 7 1968. The Beatles show was on Jan 30 1969. Both gigs in ice cold weather. Whatever happens in this wicked, smelly world, Yoko is to blame for it all.

Before The Beatles, huh! (I did see on Tv. on the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour show before 'Let it Be came out' at least part of The Beatles Rooftop performance!) Thank God I saw Jefferson Airplane 3 times in the early '90's when they got back together at the L.A. Greek, U.C. Berkley Greek, and at the Bill Graham Memorial free show in Golden Gate Park! Not to mention Hot Tuna several times and the Starship a couple of times before the Airplane's reunion of course, at the Long Beach Blues Festival and somewhere else, I'm not sure?Although, I do remember buying a ticket early in the spring for a Starship show scheduled for September of '74 or 5 at the Universal Amphitheatre in North Hollywood but it was cancelled after Grace (that is when it actually still was an Amphitheatre, before they put a roof on it (the only show I ever actually saw there without a roof was Bob Dylan on with his Rolling Thunder Revue tour in '75)) quite being too drunk on the summer European tour in which somewhere, Germany I think it was, their sound system burnt down somehow?Augy,San Diego

I was living the 60s in the 90s and it was just as violently hated as it was then. I had really long hair and I was a real fighter against authority and I still am. I love Jefferson Airplane and they will always be remembered for what they stood for all good beliefs we should hold sacred. The 60s were a time of violent upheaval amidst a peaceful revolution that unfortunately turned violent at the turn of the decade. I was just a teenager when I was a hippie, but now at 39 a week from tomorrow I still am despite the huge weight gain, dangerous health problems, and 39 years of traumas and broken dreams. I'm a hardened bitter man now not a hopeful kid. TO HELL WITH COPS TO HELL WITH RACISTS TO HELL WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT!

The Airplane and the Doors were the best two bands of the late 60s, early 70s.

Amazing video, come across it by pure luck, love it...wondering if U2 got the idea to play on a roof top from this, remember they played "Where The Streets Have No Name" The song was notably performed on a Los Angeles rooftop for the filming of their music video.
