From DirecTV's broadcast of Farm Aid 25: Growing Hope for America, Jeff Tweedy performs a cover of Woody Guthrie's "Remember the Mountain Bed" at Miller Park in Milwaukee on October 2, 2010. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers.

Farm Aid's performances are donated by the artists in order to raise funds and raise awareness for family farmers. They've raised their voices to help — what can you do?

I've watched this so many times. Woody's lyrics should be considered one of the greatest love poems ever written and Tweedy did them ample justice.

I learned the reason why man must work and how to dream big dreams, To conquer time and space and fight the rivers and the seas I stand here filled with my emptiness now and look at city and land And I know why farms and cities are built by hot, warm, nervous hands.

Great song, his best performance I've seen him do of it by far. I assume he blocked out the assholes and dug deep for his true fans!!!

Thank you Mr. Guthrie and Mr. Tweedy. This is basically as good as it gets. Unreal. I'm moved beyond words each time I hear the song.

This is such a beautiful song and holds so many memories for me...it was the song my husband and I chose for our first dance at our wedding. That and many other living room slow dances...thanks for the post ;)

This is such a savagely beautiful song. What more needs to be said? Everytime I listen to this song I think of my love. My Jamie. Its corny and its genuine. Simply gorgeous.
