james: yep, his drumming is really amazing. It's smooth but powerful. And it's "old-fashioned" style of playing. I like it so much. The rythm section supports the music in the full way. It's not only the giving the tempo...

that singer has some serious pipes, and amazing drumming from the erstwhile mr powell! i like that he holds his sticks like a jazz drummer, you know the volume is not overwhelming in there, and the dynamics and musicality shine, instead of 'bashing' like a lot of rock drummers do...

So blissful.

The bluesy riff they're playing, Jeff later turned into "Jizz Whizz" with BBA, I think. Sounds like it.

got to meet Clive a few years back, he was a judge in a disney channel audition where my 8 year old daughter was taking part. When he asked who her favorite guitarist was and she said JB the two of them hung out all day,she didn't know who he was and he was the most gracious and nicest guy around, especially in that kind of situation.

Bass was Clive Chaman. What a tight band. This live performance is MILES better than the two rather tame albums they did in this lineup.

I remember seeing this lineup at the Spectrum with Todd Rundgren openning.

fun to swap between this cut and the Dead's version...both are red hot and show the artistry of the interpreters. god i love youtube! if it's not too much to ask you guys uploading this gold to give the performers a credit in the descriptions i like to know who is the bass player too. some of these vids are the players calling cards...let's take the call.
