The movie was mediocre, but I am glad that it has revitalized my passion for this piece.

The sax section work at 2.55 and at 3.40 is superb, subtle, tasteful, bittersweet, eternal.

My dad would play this song when he came back from the pub, he had this single seater couch", he would just sit there motionless with this song on repeat. The smile on his face when it played was priceless. Mind you this was over 20 years ago.

Blues done big band style-  Today most people only think of blues as a rock/guitar thing.  Check out Dixieland style with Cab Calloway's "St. James Infirmary" and "Minnie the Moocher".   Ray Charles does one of the best jobs of conveying what real blues is with a gospel style  in "Hard Times"

It's kind of ironic, but when Johnny Hodges (aka "Jeep") recorded it for his 'Everybody Knows' album, he started it with a piano melody (Duke's instrument).
