That's the theramin. It looks like it's hard to get just the right pitch but he did it here on the track. It does sound eerie but I like all things eerie, unusual, never-before heard, strange, weird or different, they say, to be polite. Jarre's music is all about neat sounds and he'll look for just that one sound that he hears in his mind even if it only comes up once for three seconds. His music is very eclectic.
