This remix is the B side to the French 12" (blue vinyl!) "Equinoxe 4", which itself was a much extended and remixed version from the original album version. This remix is only slightly different to the album version, but it is different! As far as I'm aware, it was only released as the French 12" and as a very limited UK promo 12".

This version has all the panned blips burbles and swishes standing out but I actually prefer another mix (the one I had on vinyl once) where the Eminent string synth is more prominent playing the main theme. In this mix it is conspicuous by its absence. The build up at the start is awesome, and I am all filled with anticipation, then I am suddenly let down when the main melody starts playing, all thin and weak - and I am saying "What? What? What have you done to your masterpiece Mr Jarre?!" Is it just me, conditioned to like the other version? Thank you anyway Mr At Close Range!
