Souther is a remarkable songwriter, and his voice, though weakened with age, is still gorgeous. That Gibson guitar he plays has not been in tune for one video I have seen...prompts the question: does he realize it's poorly intonated? Souther will always remain one of my favorites, regardless of his guitar being poorly tuned. And he was THE voice of LA pop and rock in the seventies. A breezy, airy, and sweet sound, much like David Gates.
