I am sorry..he is trying too hard to sound, act, and move like Michael. There can and NEVER will be another Hutch. I can't blame JD, though...those are some impossible shoes to fill. JD looks like he is 14....has no stage presence at all, in my opinion...way too rehearsed and choreographed....so NOT natural like Michael-- very forced and boring to watch. In this situation, the band should be focusing on finding someone that does NOT sound like Michael....someone who is not interested in being a copy cat...take the band in new direction...they can't live in the past.

I was at Martin Place that morning - The moment JD Fortune sang this - it made my hairs stand up - It was Unbelievable that INXS had come back to Life - But Michael Hutchene was still The Best.

These guys still rock. Surprisingly, JD Fortune is not only watchable, but compelling. He should have left his ego at the door and realized he's not on the same level as the rest of the guys. I understand he may have felt creatively unfulfilled. But when you are catapulted to impossibly fill the empty shoes of Michael Hutchence (moment of silence) and become part of a global phenomenon like INXS, this is to be expected! Maybe he should consider emulating Timothy B. Schmidt, who was an established musician/vocalist on his own before replacing Randy Meisner of the Eagles. He is still with them, because every day he is grateful for such an opportunity. And the chemistry works, because he respects the fact that Glen Frey and Don Henley are the leaders of the group.

Iconic bands such as INXS who lose/replace their front man, end up being simply "cover bands" in my opinion, even though Andrew wrote most of the songs. However, JD Fortune was an amazing find - so close to Michael Hutchence its not funny. I would watch INXS with him. Jon Stevens was rubbish, and the guy they finished the band with was just as bad (good by themselves, but not to replace MH). That said, INXS were running out of steam towards the end anyway. Without Hutchence lyrics and fronting the band, it went further downhill. But to repeat, JD was brilliant as a singer/Hutchence replacement (for want of a better word).

IMAGINE THE HIM BAND WITHOUT VILLE VALO OK ENOUGH SAID MICHAEL HUTCHENCE CANT NEVER BE REPLACE BUT HIS ESSENCE WILL ALWAYS BE PRINTED UPON THE AUDIENCE NO MATTER WHO EVER WILL BE SINGING AS A LEAD SINGER. IN THE BAND..BUT MUCH RESPECT TO THE BAND I GUESS IT WOULD BE SOMETHING MICHAEL WOULD WANT THE BAND TO DO .MICHAEL YOU ARE TRULY MISSED......

And Maiden without Clive Burr wasn´t the same to me. I liked Paul diÁnno a lot. Still I believe that "The Number of the Beast" album with Bruce (and CLIVE) is their best album.

I respect those who believe that JD performed well. I´m not saying he´s bad. I just don´t like it without Michael. As I also don´t like Nightwish without Tarja Turunen and Sonic Syndicate after the oldest singer left. Or Kiss when Peter and Ace left. Sometimes you like a specific sound which is created between some people and when they exchange members (due to a lot of different reasons) it´s not the same any more. Sometimes the change makes it better (i.e. Hardcore Superstar changed guitarist).

Well I'm 40 and a guy and have been an INXS fan ever since I can remember - I remember their song Time and Falling down a Mountain and I remember Hutch - of course I was sad to hear of his passing but as with all things life goes on - they found JD and I felt yes INXS are back - and they were awesome together - until drugs hit the news again - I just wish they could all have a good regroup and return to good old INXS and JD!!
