Someone mentioned that Dear You isn't on a major label. It absolutely is (DGC/Geffen Records). It is correctly named "major label debut" in the video description. It is their first, and only, on a major label. The previous records were released on much smaller labels. Someone also mentioned that the original Dear You went out of print after Jawbreaker disbanded. True. And it became a cult classic (and rightfully so-- in my opinion, it's Jawbreaker's best album). Then, the drummer from Jawbreaker obtained the rights to it and re-released Dear You on his indie label, Blackball Records. No matter the journey, I'm glad more and more people are discovering this brilliance as years go by.

@ryandanielstevens Who cares? Yes I used to be in the punk scene in the 90's. You'll find today even indie labels are owned by major labels. Do you honestly think a producer said anything about this song? Maybe they should have had a release to a "friends only" party. Only certain people would know about it, and talk shit about people who didn't know. OOOOooooorRRRR, I'm totally getting the message you're trying to convey wrong.

@gkleps Dear You was originally released on gefen records much to the chagrin of their fans(it caused old ben weasel to eat his hat) But seriously, people claimed to HATE this record when it came out! After they broke up gefen just quit making the album and it was unavailable for years. People finally realized what a great ablum it was and used copies started going for 30/40 dollars on ebay. Eventually adam phaler(sp?) got the rights back and put it out on his label, blackball
