Jason felt the last few years that he wasn't reaching his potential as an artist with them but stuck it out for the sake of his friends-bandmates. Then he told the guys "this isn't who I am". Hawk Nelson is still happening though, Jon (the guitar player) is now the lead singer - and they sound great! Jason is on his on, and he sounds great as well!!
