Magness is an average singer. Not very soulful. She's a perfect example of hard work overcoming a lack of talent. Blues today is a disgrace. If you want to hear true female soul, check out Danielle Schnebelen with Trampled Under Foot. Magness is an average lounge act.

I'm a TRUCK DRIVER and what you know about Janiva, trucks, truck drivers and the blues is at best up for debate. I've seen Janiva and her band perform and everybody loved her and had a good time. Isn't that what it is all about guitar man? A lot of people can play guitar and sing but only a few can get people moving or touch them. God bless her and her music. She is a lot of fun. And you, well, you're a critic. Nuff said.

This woman is a great singer! She must have suffered a great deal to sing the Blues the way she belts it out. If that how it ends, you've got to love the Blues.
