Wish Columbia would have included the early songs - Janis singing in bars for beer 1963-65 - and which are found in the 2-album "Janis" release on the box-set. There's a whole album worth of very good material there for one album. This is the period when Janis was singing old-style like Bessie Smith, her idol, and then, of course later she got on with Big Brother & the Holding Co. and started doing the psychedelic hippy-blues type singing for which she is more known.
