Pani she is South Korean. she is really not fluent in speaking Chinese, but long as the speaker doesn't have too much of an accent and speaks clearly she can normally work out what they are talking about, just in interviews no one has the time for her do so, so she always has a translator on hand. When she acts in china she still does so in korean, but these days can dub herself off the script in studio. I think it is fair to say she understands more than she feels comfortable in speaking
