Easily the signature and best Janet song - just like Madonna (Frozen): huge in the 80s and tons of hits but peaked musically in the late 90's

I have to hold on to this song just to get through the day. I have lost the love of my life. After years of separation, I was calling him to say I want to grow old and grey with you. The day before I was out for a drive and all I could think of was him and i looked over and saw my birthday on a license plate on the car to my right. It was spelled out. I smiled and the very next day i looked him up. In my shock discovered he was gone but that he was buried on my birthday. I then was in my grief talking to my friend, texting and she yelled out that there was a ghost in her room and he had spoken to her. I had just said I felt protected in this world just because he was in it. I can't believe I didn't know, didn't feel he was gone. She then told me the voice had said "it was because I was protecting you." So my song for us the last time I saw him was Missing You sung by Diana Ross. It was the last thing I ever sent him. We both went on, got married, had kids. Year later, he was in the state and we each drove 5 hours just to hold each other and look into each others eyes. We also both realized we had to play out the lives we were living. Acknowledging that if and when we would be together again and "grow old and grey together." As I listened to Missing You I selected a version that had this song attached. It helped me. It would have been what he wanted to know.He is still wrapping his wings around me. We will be together again, but for now, he is with me everyday. My birthday has always been my day, my number, I see it everywhere. Those that know me will tell you it calls my name. So to have it spelled out when I was thinking of him, then to find out and his last moments of acknowledgement in this life to be on my birthday was his heart gift to me and God's letting me know - it was real and to believe in love. Never to leave me. Not forgotten. Always loved. To you Eddie All My Love Always (AMLA). Every where I go, every smile I see, I know you are smiling back at me...all my loves for you...Taina
