We were a lucky group....yes. The 90's. I agree they were so ahead if their time - ahead of our current time in so many, many ways, but things have changed a lot. The memories are good, so WHY do I get tears? Where is that shit coming from? I think because of the fact that they're memories now.....got to see Jane's again in 2012 during the worst personal rough patch....Better then ever, Jane's! I was the one in front(ish) screaming "I love you guy's" "I LOVE YOU, PERRY!" Most audible before and after Mountain Song. Summer Camp Music Festival 2012. I miss those days...so so so long ago. Must've been how hippies felt after Woodstock or after "things got weird"...(what happened?) Do millennials get it? HELL NO!

Perry Farrell is the only one in music today that can get away with yelling "Guitar!" before the guitar solo.

Oh, I agree with you, Kindablue. I'm a little older than you, and I do love 80s music too as well as the 90s stuff. That period between '86 to '94 saw the debut or major advancement of some amazing bands and musicians. It was a golden age for alternative, underground, hard and heavy music. Good times which I will miss forever.

This album changed everything. Not only a top 10 rock debut, but an all-time great rock album. So far ahead of their time, I honestly don't believe anything's quite caught up yet.

I totally agree! The 90s were such a chill decade compared to today. It wasn't tense or crass like the 80s (think acid washed jeans, Communism, and big hair), and it certainly wasn't as vulgar and insecure as the 2000s (think Lilo, terror threat levels, Farcebook). 90s music was fun, angry or moving (think Sublime, Oasis, No Doubt, RATM, NIN, Nirvana,"Under The Bridge", "Lightning Crashes", "Runaway Train" “Wicked Game”). Honestly, I miss life before cellphones and the ‘Net took over everything.

We the poeple of the 90's were a lucky group that got to enjoy and see all the wonderful things, at a point in time where all the magic came together in one instance. It was bliss...
