When I was a young gay teenager I was introduced to Jane Olivor and it brings back those days of sitting in a worn brownstone apartment smoking marijuana and listening to this song. First I have heard her sing this in years

My first night alone was Thanksgiving eve, 1979. My boyfriend told me he was dumping me for someone he had know for 2 whole days. Not good times but songs like this sung by Jane helped.

Lots of good people in Heaven. One day we will all be together, one way or another. I take solace from that.

Seventeen years ago tomorrow morning my first partner passed away. He loved Jane Olivor and fulfilled some of the words from this song. He taught me how to live, be myself and give. He taught me how to stick up for and be true to myself. I miss him very much but am fortunate to have been able to spend over five years with him.

I couldn't agree more. Her voice is a gift, and a blessing.

Yes. It is so hard to let go, but everything that rises must converge. We'll all be catching up to your partner, sooner or later.

My heart goes out to you. It seems that Jane sings her songs directly to us and we feel the emotions. Take care.

Jane Olivor I had seen her in Westbury, LI, NY..around the early eighties. She was great I like this song especially because it brings me back to the so many days after he passed away, and I truly missed him...just one of many songs that do. I wonder where did she went, she has such a beautiful voice.

@jbarry2001 Well, I guess I had the chance, but let it pass me by (or just didn't get wind of it). And I would figure Diva behavior would apply in her case. It is the irritated oyster that produces the pearl...
