I loved Jane Eyre Theme very, very much; believe it or not, I even heard it in my dreams from time to time with great sunset view, did read the novel with my Grandaunt when me's little, and, enjoyed the movie with my GrandAunt in my early teen in 70's in Shanghai. I saw this television version of Jane Eyre back in the early 70s and could never get this theme out of my mind. Unfortunately I didn't think of purchasing the soundtrack of a television version.... I didn't even think it existed!! 40 years later I found it on EBay and purchased it for a premium price but it is worth every penny.

Sometimes I think people confuse the absolute splendor of the musical themes of this version of "Jane" with the movie as it was filmed. Truth is George C Scott was horribly miscast. And the lady who played Jane was much too beautiful to be believable as "plain Jane". The movie was saved from being a complete disaster because of the wonderful film score.

Entre la versión de 1970 de John Williams (esta) y la de 1944 de Bernard Herrmann me quedo con esta. Además que si hacemos la transposición con el tema "Across the Stars" de Star Wars Episodio II (2002), las semejanzas e influencias son obvias !!!
