"Fairy Tale" lyrics:
I watched your eyes grow wide
As you saw my pain for what it was
For so long I'd held it inside
Never again to let it resurface
But you asked to see it once more
To see the curse that's placed on me
And my heart dropped to the floor
As you considered if we could be
As my knight in shining armor
I need you not to rescue me
From the tallest tower
But to slay the dragon in my heart
I lay awake that night
Thinking this must be a fairy tale
As I try to set things right
You will be proven real if I fail
But I would not ask you to be perfect
That's the last thing I'd want you to be
I only ask if I am worth it
If, after all, our love cannot be
As my knight in shining armor
I need you not to rescue me
From the tallest tower
But to slay the dragon in my heart
As I stumble in the dark
I have never been more afraid
As I am falling for you
As my knight in shining armor
I need you not to rescue me
From the tallest tower
But to slay the dragon in my heart
"From singing at corn festivals to producing her own album at the age of 18, this former small-town darling of Ross, OH has come a long way. Jana Fisher began her career as a 4-year-old singing duets in church with her mom, and eventually moved on to singing solos, then playing piano, then writing her own material, becoming a star in her hometown, population 2000.
Jana's career path shifted when her family moved to Bradenton, FL, where she spent her teenage years. There she sang in choir, performing originals at choir concerts, and giving concerts - both as a solo artist and with a band - at her high school, where she was voted "Most Musical" by her senior class.
While majoring in Digital Arts: Sound at Stetson University, Jana decided to take matters into her own hands by writing, recording, and producing her first album, A History of Sleepwalking. The album consists of twelve original songs that Jana wrote between the ages of 14 and 18, spanning pop, rock, folk, and electronica, all while keeping the common theme of piano. Her influences for the album include Tori Amos, Simon & Garfunkel, Fiona Apple, Bjork, and Alanis Morissette.
After graduating from Stetson in just three years at the age of 20, Jana decided to further pursue her career by relocating to New York City, where she currently lives and continues to write and perform."
