@rigo1392 I'm sorry it's so easy to 'diss' Kanye because he's so terrible. Claiming to be a lyrical genius when his vocabulary is probably as bad as yours he is the epitome of the new age of soulless hip hop. I grew up listening to good music from all genres and I got into hip hop at the end of the 90s so listened to the golden age in retrospect BUT... I know good hip hop and I know it's still being made but not by Mr West or indeed anyone else in the charts.

@monrata6 One Answer -Yesss! Jay-z, Kanye, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne - they're all sell outs. The South Park episode sums it up nicely. Come on man... how can you compare Kanye to Big L, The Guru, Dres of the Black Sheep, Biggie Small etc. The truth is man, those MCs were saying stuff that the elite (record companies, radio stations, TV etc.) didn't like. @vanderrhuc wether you like it or not hes going down as one of the most important people of the genre and i agree his lyrics can't be compared to what lyricist were like in early 90s. But do you really think he's a sell out? He performed a song on the VMAs a year after the taylor swift incident talking about how much of an asshole he is and that he sent nude pics to a girl. Is that being a sellout? And then he releases an album completely different to what is going on in hip-hop.

@monrata6 The thing is, I agree with you. Dunno about all the Wu Tang shit but man, I hate think Kanye has been the blueprint for shit hip hop so do a lot of people in Hip Hop. Hip Hop ain't dead but believe me my friend, Kanye West is an amateur compared with some of the greats. He's simply a cheesy sell-out with no substance or honesty to him. He isn't hip hop, he's just a phony rapper with a big record deal.
