Dumb city folks don't understand country. The reason he's riding a Scotts mower instead of a John Deere, but using John Deere in the song is that regular folks own Scotts mowers not the expensive John Deere. But call all mowers John Deeres.

So the video: he's mad at his old lady, he mows down her roses, then goes on a date with the landscaper. After the landscaper has to go, he picks up another dude at the bar and they spend a night running out of gas on the ole mower.The next morning, his mind foggy from the night before, regret sets in, and he carries what's left of the roses inside, presumably to reclaim some modicum of heterosexuality.That sound about right?
