Here's how I was brought here: A friend posted the scrabble value of the word "jonquil" on Facebook. So I looked it up at dictionary dot com. It turns out that the Spanish word is "junco". This made me want to hear The Clash's Junco Partner (which I thought was an original), So I youtubed it and, lo and behold, discover this awesome gem!!!!

Junco Partner is an American blues song 1st recorded by James Waynes in 1951. It has been recorded and revised by many other artists over the years, including Louis Jordan, Dr. John, Professor Longhair, James Booker, and The Clash.

It's interesting cause Mac Rebennack's version sounds closer to this version than Booker's version, who I thought taught Mac to play the junker blues.
