James - Live in Manchester 2001.

I always felt this was one of the better versions of "Sit Down". At the time (2001) this performance was supposed to be their "Last Waltz" and this song, the final farewell to their hometown fans, marking the end of the band at the end of the song. You can almost sense Mark Hunter (keyboard) drawing out the beginning, attempting to avoid the inevitable end of the song and the group. That said, in actuality Tim Booth was having one final argument with other members as to how the song should be played. I also found it kind of sad that he leaves the stage by himself, but then again he put himself in that position.

From the DVD "Getting Away With It" (highly recommended).
