Is that Henry Slaughter on the piano?

Toured with the Imperials?? Jake Hess is the one who formed the Imperials in 1963. It was his group! Sherrill Neilsen was the Tenor, Gary McSpadden the Baritone and Armond Morales the Bass as he was for over 40 years. Henry Slaughter was the original Pianist.

Teddy Ladd, I don't know where you got the idea that Jake never toured with the Imperials, HE DID, for several years, I know because I saw them many times!

Jake Hess's life was a miracle with all his medical conditions. A lot of people would have felt sorry for themselves but that wasn't Jake's attitude. What a classy guy full of style and grace. I never tire of hearing his amazing voice.

Song and a Word

"There is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light." ~ Mark 4:22"The Word of God - the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the Hope of Glory." ~ Colossians 1:25-27

Solid gold. this film was made using audio from a studio recording, but its the real deal. too bad that Jake Hess could not tour with the Imperials due to health problems. Jake and the Imperials were both icons in gospel music.so glad this is posted!

@acapellaman45 Thanks for that suggestion. I had tried that in the past with other records but forgot about it. Certainly worth a shot anyway. It can't possibly make it any worse.

@thiskiwigal I may have an answer. Did record warp from age or heat? If so, try this. I did, it worked. Make sure buckled record is as clean as can possibly get it. Any dirt will imbed in.Sandwich it gently between 2 sheets of glass like window pane glass. Set sandwich flat in sun, on a day due to get in 90's but not in 100's. Black record draws suns heat gently, softens, weight of glass slowly, over the day, flattens record out. let cool naturally to stone cold (overnight?). should play ok.

I used to have a record of Henry and Hazel Slaughter singing together. As was the way with records at times, it buckled and is now useless. Does anyone have any of the music of the two of them. Can't find any on Youtube or google

Lindo. Maravilhoso. Edificante. É bom lembrar que a musica inspirada nos aproxima de DEUS.
