Nearly 5 years later & justice still pending, nephew, but we haven't given up the fight. Whether in this life, or the next, the murderer will answer for his evil. This year, I'm going to try & focus on how much you loved watching fireworks on the 4th. Maybe that will ease the pain. We love you.

It's been two years now. The murderer was sentenced to life in prison, with a 58-year minimum sentence and the possibility of parole. Justice has been served, I guess.

My Friend For ALL TIME! To The Family of Jake Ira Hale, May My Heart and My Prayers Go To You Swiftly and Gently! I Met A Proud Lakota on A Powwow Sunday. I Thanked Him For His Strong Heart Singing and His Sharing This Medicine Way With The People. We Shook Hands and Embraced As Friends and Were Excited To Be As Such. He Said He Was Truly Happy To Be Here in Hawaii and His Face Said The Same.

A Friend Who Never Was. My close friend Sarah just informed me of Jake's untimely passing. I have heard many good things about Jake and was so looking forward to meeting him. Sarah said we would have hit it off and gotten along just great. From everything Sarah has said and knowing how she felt about Jake, I'm positive we would have been friends. To Jake's family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Keith
