Being a Brit (more specifically, an 'East Midlander', like Jake) I didn't realise how much this song could be interpreted.White Lightning is a cheap cider of high alcohol content that is sold in plastic bottles and is a favourite for underage drinkers.The 'two fingers' gesture (with the back of your hand facing outwards) is considered an insult in the UK and so to 'hold two fingers up to yesterday' shows that he might've wanted to stay clear of some of his past events.Hope this help the international audience!
