This song can be found on a double-CD compilation (of all available J.C. Frank songs) called "Blues Run the Game".

Lyrics (click SHOW MORE):

Following a signal I received in France

Watching all the traffic going by,

Your hair is done in sequins, you wear leather pants,

Soldiers at the crossroads wave goodbye.

It's already over in October,

Already Christmas every year,

It's always good to sing when you are sober,

It's always good to wipe away the tears.

Sometimes I think we'll all go up in smoke,

Owing that the passage is not clear.

There is a man who probably will choke

On the words that sound so violently sincere.

Chorus

There was a woman wore my ring upon her hand

Warning me to judge the way I feel,

Right on surface of everything I planned

She cut too deep to ever really heal

Chorus

I see you I all nod to some passing face of God

Who never really answered me at prayer,

The savior is quite odd, he prefers the prod,

His kingdom is made out of thin air.

Picture this...Jackson under a spotlight alone on stage, a chair next to him guitar in hand playing this song, nothing else just him jut this music. Stark and real, enthralling and vivid. The feeling lasts. Now think of today’s music machine churning out pulp market driven images to sell products where music means nothing more than a vehicle to market perfume or clothes or other junk we are made to believe we need to be happy. So sad so shallow. No line dancers needed for Jackson, no disco balls, or fancy clothes, just the music .. deep and clear and true.

I wish there was some way for him to know how much his music means to me... How many times it's moved me to tears... How many times it's helped me

A tragic figure in music. What talent, but the suffering he must have felt. It will all be better in the hereafter my friend.
