This is the first song I learned how to play on the guitar and still one of my favorites! A bit melancholy but a great song. Amazing Jackson Brown wrote this when he was only 16. Just something about it has always struck a chord in me. No pun intended.

Yes, reminds me of Billy Strayhorns' "Lush Life", which is also a song of genius and great depth, and also a song written by a teenager. There are a lot of older, much more experienced songwriters who write very well, and yet still, they might never come up with something quite as good as either one of those songs.

An amazing song! Anyone know if Jackson penned those lyrics at the age of sixteen? He must have an old soul. I know when I was sixteen I was cruising the streets of my hometown with my Plymouth Satelite with friends and playing baseball and going to highschool and that's as deep as it got. Just blows my mind that he had the life experience to write these lyrics. Beautiful song!
