The beauty of Jack's Mannequin is that each album is lyrically and meaningfully unique.You seem like you haven't watched his "Introducing People and Things" interview series. Every song Andrew writes has a personal meaning and reason behind it. You're not a true fan of him if you exclude parts of his work.Andrew regrets nothing. He doesn't care about the "super-hardcore SoCo fans" and the "Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness haters", he'll never let what other people think interfere with his decisions. He's married, with a newborn child, cut him some slack.

Your absolutely right with the ageing thing, if you go back to something corporate when he was 18-19, it was more punk-rock. However i don't think that he would shift styles based on the currents of the industry. He has always had a decent fan base, and with his talent of song-writing, could have made heaps of money elsewhere if it was about what works with the times. I think as he's got married and stuff, the content and style of his songs has shifted. Personal opinion though...

This doesn't flow with the rest of the songs on the album. The album is more classical rock influenced, and this is pop rock. I like it, but that's why this isn't on the album.
