this is music, I remember paying close attention to the piano background that was popular in the late 50's and early 60's in the music. I still love it in 2014. Greg

On this day in 1958 {August 6th} Jackie Wilson performed "We Have Love" on the late Dick Clark's American Bandstand... One month later on September 22nd it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #93 and spent 2 weeks on the Top 100 chart... It reached #7 on Billboard's R&B chart and #23 on the United Kingdom's Singles chart... Jackie Wilson passed away on January 21st, 1984 at the young age of 49... R.I.P. Mr. Wilson and Mr. Clark...

Co-written by Berry Gordy & Tyran Carlo, this 1958 release was the follow-up to Jackie's first smash hit, "To Be Loved." Thought it only hit #93 on the Top 100, this beautiful song was a precursor to many hits Jackie was to have using large string orchestras and his "operatic" voice.
