If his guitar was in tune, this would've been great

Jackie gave it the old college try for a "should have been a big hit" "Sour Milk Sea". Jackie is introduced by Martin Lewis- late of Beatlefest before he bashed all of them last week!

A horrible soundman, poor video recording.. and an unsympathetic band, plus no chance to tune his guitar to the band.. no wonder commenters here think he's terrible. Which he certainty was not. His first two albums are excellent, and he really cooked on stage.. Unfortunately he got so few gigs by being in the wrong place at the wrong time , all the time. Being discovered by George Harrison didn't help. Unlike Paul's protoge's (Cilla Black, Mary Hopkin, James Taylor) who were ably managed by him, George could hardly take care of himself at the time, drinking heavily, as well as chanting away!, never mind taking care of both the Krsna Temple singers and Jackie Lomax, and Apple was falling apart anyways.OK, John's protoge's did even worse, admittedly.. (Trash (9), Elephants' Memory ,and David Peel - "Pope Smokes Dope" being his only entry)Jackie however deserved better. Listen to his first couple of albums before you make judgement....

The mustache he's got these days creeps me out. He's pretty dang good, though. It's too bad he didn't go as far as Clapton or Preston. He should've been at the Concert for George, and so should have Dylan.

@wadekp After leaving Apple, his WB output was quite pleasant. The man had a groove and a Kitting Factory gig won't blow that up. I have interviewed a few people involved with Badfinger and all thought very highly of his work - I do too. "Is This What You Want" is a top-tenner of all time and "Home Is In My Head" (WB) is listened to often in my home. The guy was with Heavy Jelly and Badger too.

No mystery why Jackie didn't reap the success of the beatles' help with songs and production. He's terrible..

I love obscure music(actually all music) but my passion is for seldom seen or heard. 25 years ago an aquaintance made a tape with obscure music for me and this song was 1 of them. I LOVE IT. I'm finding more and more obscure artists on YouTube! This is GREAT!!!

My gosh that would have been too awesome! After all they both played on this song. Along with George, Eric Clapton, and Nicky Hopkins banging away on piano. I just had this album on my turntable today. I just love the whole thing! His voice is doing pretty good here in this vid. Definitely good to hear.

I was about to make that joke. I mean, really. Then I saw your comment. It's just the same type of rubbish humour I have. I take my hat off to you, sir! :D
