ive spent hundreds of dollars on pedals and a nice amp and guitar, then i found jack white and i have 2 split mind sets, i either plug into my nice clean amp with my nice david gilmour pedals, OR i get my shitty 2nd hand epiphone dot and piss the neibours off with my big muff and whammy maxed out! hehehe11 years ago

just cause of that guitar made him popular!? if you're quoting the airline, he was pretty big before he even got that airline. the white stripes never intended to get big he says it just happend. he has that sound from that guitar of course but you got to realize he could sit down and play you a jimi hendrix song . i bet it would sound good but thats not what he wanted to do. the point is he is jack white for his sound.11 years ago

You might be right, but it sounds a lot like the only things recording sounds in this video are the mics, hence why you can clearly hear Jack sing, but barely anything other instrument, even the drums. That's just my 2 cents on this though, I don't know much about this stuff.11 years ago

Pretty sure thats not the reason why. I think it has something to do with what they used to capture the sound. I dont know the technical stuff to it, but it limits the amount of sound for the really loud things so it doesnt drown everything else out. My camera usually does that when theres a lot of bass or something whenever im recording at a concert.11 years ago
