There are a lot of people here, who don't understand the message with this intro. The point isn't that gear doesn't matter. The point is that being a musician, isn't something you ´choose´. It's something you're born as. The early blues players in America played homemade drumsets, cheap guitars and out-of-tune harmonicas. They felt a need to express themselves through music. That's the conditions of the musician. He can't help it. He can't not play.

I get what he's saying, Gear isn't everything. I know this because, I have a dirt cheap guitar and a dirt cheap amp, and I don't care. I'm writing music with both and I don't care if i have 30 pedals or a vintage Marshall. If it's the only thing I can use to write music with, it won't stop me from writing songs. I've taken that to heart now.
