regarding "Dire Straits" and John W. Cale: Mark Knopfler clearly stated that he tried his best to emulate JJ's guitar style, "but never quite got it completely right." Look up Knopfler's interview. Clapton called JJ "the wise man in the cave." Neil Young said that the two best guitar players he EVER heard were Jimi Hendrix and JJ - that leaves out a very BIG heap of pickers, including Neil himself. Diggit. Peace all y'all. Alohas
