This one is for my late Nan Phylis Rose Reid as she used to sing it at various venues such as The Keir Hardy Hall and The jolly Butchers and I am sure that she's still singing in Heaven...............

Sophie Bevan produces some lovely pianissimos - she takes risks. Toby Spence is also brave - i see his Wikipedia entry says that he was operated on for thyroid cancer earlier this year. Much to admire! The great singers of this music in the past understood the style. They knew how to put the song across through the medium of personality/ character. The Ivor Novello shows, as with those of Coward and Ellis, are rarely performed and perhaps a glimmer of that style is heard in old recordings.

Does anyone know how I can buy a copy of this concert please? My father would like a copy as he thoroughly enjoyed it and hasn't stopped talking about it since he watched it.

They both look so uncomfortable, ill at ease.

This is lovely. By the bye, if even the great BBC can upload something slightly out of audio-synch, that's very comforting for the ordinary you-tuber!
