It's Only Love - Rudolf video free download
"It's Only Love (Vertrau in uns)" from the original english demo recording of Frank Wildhorn's Rudolf - the Last Kiss, which would become Rudolf - Affaire Mayerling, the German-language musical currently playing at the Raimund Theater in Vienna, Austria.
A note: While I generally prefer the German lyrics, the English version of this song does have one discrete advantage: in the musical it is referred back to nicely when Taaffe returns Mary's ring and comments "Es ist nur Liebe," which Rudolf bitterly repeats.

The song was originally written for Frank's show "The Scarlet Pimpernel" - that is what this version is. The demo for Scarlet Pimpernel - Margurite sining to Percy.. He took the tune and reused it with slightly differently to use it in Rudolf. 10 years ago

@hugmonster1 Though first appearing on Broadway in the Scarlet Pimpernel, Only Love was originally written for Rudolf. With the Hungarian and Vienna productions, Wildhorn restored it to its rightful place - and it can be found both on the Rudolf demo, and (in German, as ,,Vertrau in uns") on the Original Vienna Cast album.12 years ago
