It's comb... the person who said the comment about her hair being messed up from making out is correct. I have the privilege to do this duet on Feb. 27th and I've seen the score. It's comb. As far as it being a "date rape" song, the male/female parts of the song are often reversed and they were indeed reversed in the movie "Neptune's Daughter" where the song is performed twice, by two different couples. In one scene it's the man trying to get the woman to stay, in the other it's the woman trying to get the man to stay, and this was in the 1940s, so chalk another round of crap up to the Politically Correct Police! Enjoy! It's a great tune. The Johnny Mercer version is tops.

@courtneylaurengalind it does make sense in the cold aspect of it, but during the song, they are going back and forth trying to either get each other to stay or leave; they're still inside the house. She needs to look presentable when she leaves, so she needs a comb. She may need a coat but not during the song she doesn't because she hasn't gone outside yet. Haha did that help a bit?

I know it's already been debated, but just- how does it make sense to say lend me your comb? The name of the song is "Baby It's Cold Outside" so if your choices are "comb" or "coat" then it's pretty much common sense.
