Ignore the user below (Laurence Santos). That guy has given me a HEADACHE for the past year or so. You'll be better off listening to Elton's worst vocal shows from 1986 for hours!

Ok! I hope not too late Greg, I'll wait with anxiety!!

So finally you'll share Lausanne and Zurich from 1989? Anyway, I could be not the maximum expert, but I simply love 1989 shows, Elton voice (and piano sound too) in most of them is simply wonderful. While I think Elton should have retired from touring at least 7 years ago, yes piano playing is fantastic as always but his voice is just like the voice of an Ogre, unlistenable for me.

Well, if someone told me to shut up, I'd frown as well!

Least it's not like Melbourne 1986 (the absolute worst version of the song)!

Now that we're on the subject of Elton's recordings, I'm going to post all my 1982 stuff over the next week or so. If anyone wants a show uploaded or sent to me, then ask!

There's nothing wrong with Take Me To The Pilot nowadays. His voice isn't what it was (though it's improved over the last couple years), but his piano playing is fantastic!

Nice strawman argument.

You can't beat the sound of a Steinway piano! Comparing a digital piano (the Roland one) to the real deal (Steinway), is ridiculous!

Yeah, I had actually had to step in and supply the show (partly because someone asked for it to be on Youtube, and since you wanted it). Last time I checked, no fan "owns" recordings by an artist. All this stuff should circulate freely for fans to listen to.

I've got an even better copy of this show that I'll upload in the near future. Even though Elton wasn't in the best state of mind--there are some good performances!

I saw him on this tour when he came to Tasmania and did 2 nights. He didn't want to come but in the end he did but they had to switch dates so he had a day off. So the 2nd concert was one the 1st night and the 1st on the 2nd night. Luckily I had tickets for both. I know for sure in those he did both Healing Hands and a solo version of sacrifice. There was a lot of publicity about how hard he was to deal with on this tour but I had a ball at both gigs.

Unfortunately, Elton didn't play those songs. I heard from someone that was pissed off at the promotor (he didn't want to do this show) and was forced to do it. So he played a VERY short show (like 90 minutes), and didn't include any songs from Reg Strikes Back (except for Part 2 of Mona Lisas) and Sleeping With The Past. He actually walks off stage after Sad Songs (and concludes the show).

Please Eltonmania can you tell me if in this concert Healing Hands and Sacrifice were included?

Piano's sound much better than the best electronic keyboards/equipment ever made - end of all arguments.

I own one of these RD1000's and I can say they kick ass. Based on a Yamaha CP80 electric grand they have a really cool unique sound in their own right. I run a phaser through mine for some amazing sounds. This series was my favourite period of Elton conerts - ripped on coke and looking great! Good set list too!

What he plays now on stage a yamaha electric piano sounds like this. I wish he would play real piano's.
