I really don't want to do this, but to satisfy you: The production is SO much better on Apparition, especially when referring to the drums and bass. The vocal mapping is far superior as well. Ive never understood how an album that uses 4 songs from the previous can be better? Exoplanet is overproduced, overhyped, and overdone. Jonathan is good, but he is'nt Dave. Dave's lyrics were about real life pain, and that to me is better.

The great thing about music is that it is completely subjective. Apparition isn't better than Exoplanet or Intrinsic simply because you prefer it.

John Carpenter, in my opinion, progressed this band into something unbelievably amazing. Exoplanet was just pure fucking heavy yet beautiful and melodic. Intrinsic was a progression away from Exoplanet because John really improved TC's song structure A LOT. A better vocalist than Dave? In some ways. Better vocalist for the band? 100% yes. Their a progressive band. Not a technical hardcore band. The Contortionist is my favorite band of all time. They're truly the next best thing in music.

Are you implying that they no longer have emotion in their music/playing now that Dave isn't their singer? Just because they don't get down and dirty like they used to in this video doesn't mean there is a complete lack of emotion in the music.
