I met Evan from Into it. Over it. on Friday before his show in Antwerp and he played a couple of songs for Compass and Square. I'm really glad this happened and I was looking forward to this the whole summer. He put out a new record called Propper. Make sure you pick it up.

I think also the reason the strings look so floppy is the frame rate of the camera recording. Guitar strings don't vibrate that slow, but the fact that he's downtuned a little gives a crazier effect.

i think its just tuned down a lot. so they are floppy and loose

actually you're both right. he tuned his guitar lower than the regular standard which would make the strings less tight. plus, he's plucking them pretty roughly near the end, which does make them ~floppy. your reasoing also applies though

They're not "floppy" strings, for the record. The fps (frame rate) of the camera is going at a certain frequency, which, when lined up to a certain frequency the strings are bending at, give the illusion that they're moving slower than they are. Kind of like when car rims/hubcabs on the highway look like they're turning in the opposite direction... Same illusion... For anyone who gives a fuck haha.
