Since the early 80s, my friends and I have joked that "lack of a back-up plan" may be the salient difference between British and American rockers (and why the Brits were almost always better!). This may finally be changing, though, as America loses opportunity -- but it has held so far since at least the 1960s. BTW, I can hardly say enough good things about BoS.
