This is an amazing song... the rest of the album however is boring, formulaic and un-inspired. It's pretty sad; I saw a lot of potential in their debut and they have been going down-hill ever since. This album feels like one big dull contractual obligation.

Considering their previous catalogue don't you think it was intensional from Paul's perspective, he has mentioned in interviews to promote s/t that this time he didn't want to be the arrogant ass towards women he wanted to reverse the situation and take the role in the song of the one being spurned instead of the one doing the spurning this time around, a complete contrast to what they have done previously.

I honestly just think this album was too deep/dark for some Interpol fans to handle. That's all I can narrow it down to. I'm a fan of it also. This track is beautiful.
