In this week's edition of 'The Red Pill' DJ Skee talks about the importance of stepping out of your comfort zone in order to progress in life, but by the same token how vital it is to give back to your community and pay homage. For example, DJ Skee talks about leaving Minnesota at the early age of 17 to pursue his dreams of working in the music industry. Although, he currently resides in Los Angeles, he never forgets about the place that helped sculpt him into the person he is today. Furthermore, he talks about the impact that Rhymesayers and Soundset have made in Minnesota; a state that was once not known for hip-hop is now home to one of the biggest hip-hop festivals. This is concrete proof that with hard work and perseverance, dreams are attainable. "...And when you do, go back and inspire the next generation to be even better than you."
