Try telling Benjamin Britten his tonality is 'a bit out'.......

That bit from 3.53 is so full of emotion and is absolutely gorgeous. That guitar makes me cry. Spot on.

This actually came on Scuzz today and I was like Whoooo. Swear it's the first time I've seen InMe on there for 2 years. They're still my favourite band :)

"Couldn't be more out"?! Sorry mate, 23 years of playing guitar and music theory tells me otherwise. Besides, there's so such thing as "out" anyway - ask any jazz or prog musician! :) We're certainly not in different scales. I could break this song down note for note and give you the theory behind all of it but there wouldn't be much point to that really. Maybe you just don't get on with accidentals/tense intervals. If we just played by the "rules" we would be a very boring band! (see UK top 40)

There's absolutely nothing wrong with this song, its one of my favourites from The Pride and the chorus is one of the best I've heard from them :)

Fair enough man. We obviously disagree on a musical level but that's the wonder of music. Each to their own as Gazz said :)

I dont like leaving negative comments but i have gotta agree with a couple of the comments, the lead and rhythem guitars couldn't be more out if you tried. Not out of tune but completley different keys/octaves/scales or whatever you want to call it. The sound levels also sound strange to me but that could be my laptop. However the song isnt bad. It's alot better than anything most of us could come up with but i think everyone already has an image of what inme are. old songs are better in my view

I think some people here just need to give the album time. I think its superb and my favorite album was the gritty Daydreams. I would advise you give some of the less publicised tracks a chance, for Halcyon Genesis, Guardian and Legacy. The former is easily one of their best tracks ever imo, it was astonishing to hear live. Annoyed me that people around me didn't seem that into it though... I swear some people just want to hear Firefly and Faster the Chase. Average songs in comparison to most..

God I need to get back into this band. I've got every album up to Daydream Anonymous but loving all the newer stuff I've heard. Good work lads

WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT DAT BASS LINE

Interesting ideas. Dave wrote the intro rhythm and I wrote the lead. I think the rhythm uses a combo of diminished 5ths and major 7ths due to DADABE tuning. The lead riff implies a major 7th against the G tonality of the riff due to landing on F# a lot and the bend in it is teasing between the augmented 4th and the perfect 5th. Sounds in tune to us, but we do like our tense intervals :)
