I know someone who was a Christian but that in no way qualifies them to speak on behalf of all Christians or for the Christian cult, & only possibly qualifies them as an authority on that particular sect within the cult; there are numerous theistic Satanist churches around (e.g. Temple of Set) who do venerate Satan as an actual entity. Personally I generally prefer the satanists to the Christians - better educated, smarter, & nicer.13 years ago

@ldyrhiannon I know Anton LaVey-type Satanists, too, I know about what Satanists follow. That's basically "Atheist(ic) Satanism" as I like to differentiate it. Cause my point was that Satanism as a word does mean devil-worship, even if there is ANOTHER meaning to it that refers to LaVey's church.13 years ago

@kalacs32 for one to believe in the devil they must first believe in God (an Ironic twist). It is only Christianity that has Satan as an evil being. Satanist actually do not worship Satan they worship the self, and their philosophy is that of indulgent pleasure. Go to the satanic church website. make sure it mentions Anton La Vey as the founder. That site is wide open, and besides I know a person that was a Satanist. My sources are good.13 years ago

@philosophygoth91 The only ones that follow blindly are the ones who do not question. If they are "true" to their faith then they are not out of tune with nature. One must be in-tune with their own nature before exhibiting that outwardly. One needs balance this is true and inner balance is the key to outer balance.13 years ago
