I feel that a spell is being cast every time I hear this song; a great song and great enough to turn hatred to stone--just freeze it in its tracks. Oh wizard of changes keep this spell among us.

Easily the most original band of the 60's. Mesmerising.

The song is great, as it always has been. But I'm afraid the film, which I first saw years ago, is only proof that the ISB could be totally daft. Or silly. And too wrapped up in themselves. But their music has stood the test of time.

I was at a kind of retreat a few years ago in Hazelwood House on the Devon/Cornwall border in England. Robin does a few concerts there, and a number of musicians gather afterwards and sing ISB songs. Sometimes Robin joins in.

Is this a tribute to the Goddess Bridget?

Very first album I ever heard under the influence of cannabis. The Band was so original you couldn't compare them to anyone else. For a generation brought up without TV this music was excellent for providing your own imaginative imagery. I remember it took eons for ash to fall from the joss-stick to the floor and I could see the music coming out of the loudspeaker (mono). Kids, this was a milestone, the first tokers music in Scotland.

What would have worked nicely is if the trancy part "she beareth thought" was synched with the scene with Robin and Mike weighing the heart. That would complete the ritual.. Great work though. I love getting lost in this song

Any tips on where to find the complete film in better resolution than the one on tube currently? I know about the version here in 240p: /watch?v=J1T7cEc6CfA

The dream sequences in Corman's 'The Trip' would have been far more interesting if he went with an earthy psychedelia as is on display here. This succeeds at evoking a dreamlike much better than other attempts of the era to show a 'trippy' feel. I see a Jack Smith and Ed Emshwiller influence. Not cheesy in the least.

Listening to their music reminds me what is truly important. As a fan and musician, I wonder if there is a non-commercial gathering of ISB fans where we could gather and play the music ourselves.

It looks like a cold day, forming part red noses :-) It is not odd to play Celtic descendants.

Strange, I recall the title as *There** Is A Green Crown* rather than *Three.* Could look it up, though time is likely better spent finding and posting more clips ;-> Anyway, my advice is to skip watching this video, just listen to the music unless, of course, you enjoyed watching The Monkees on TV ;-|

A very Middle-Eastern style, great for dancing too - if you're into Goddess worship!

Rich and satisfying music, great to sing, let's make it part of our folk repertoire for the next generation to remember

I really enjoy the way he sings. The lyrics are beautiful, 40 years later "All that is moving is moved by her hand She is mirrorred forever in the life of the land In the builiding of thoughts In the shifting of sands"

"ah what can water be?" and then the music just responds "indeed"
